New Gluten Free Puff Pastry + Gluten Free & Dairy Free Poptarts

In case you missed the big news, Sweet Loren’s launched new gluten free and dairy free puff pastry earlier this year at Target, Wegmans, Kroger & more!

They did send me this box before I could find it myself in stores, but all opinions are my own & this post is not sponsored in any way.

But in honor of holiday baking, I’m sharing everything you need to know (and look forward to tasting) about this gluten free puff pastry, as well as how you can make a giant gluten free poptart using this puff pastry or any refrigerated gluten free pie dough.

The puff pastry is gluten free, dairy free, oat free and top allergen free. You can find all the ingredients and nutritional info on Sweet Loren’s website here.

This gluten free puff pastry can be found in the refrigerated section at most Target, Kroger, Kroger Family Stores and Wegmans stores now. It costs $8.99 for a pack of one puff pastry.

To make my giant poptart, preheat the oven to 425 F and cut your puff pastry in half. Then andd around ~5oz strawberry jam to one half of the puff pastry before adding the other half of puff pastry on top. If you can’t find the puff pastry near you, you can also use any refrigerated gluten free pie dough, though it will be more dense / less fluffy

Crimp the poptart closed using your fork and then brush with egg wash (1 beaten egg + 1 tbsp water). Pierce the top puff pastry thoroughly, and bake for around 15 minutes, or until golden. Let cool for 15 minutes while you make your glaze (1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp water & ~1 tbsp vanilla extract).

Add the glaze and sprinkles, and let set for another 15 minutes before slicing and enjoying! I was SHOCKED at how well the puff pastry puffed up and all the layers got delightfully crispy. And the gluten-eating bf happily devoured half!
