New Gluten Free Pizza Dough at Trader Joe’s + Gluten Free Air Fryer Donut Hack

In case you missed the big news, Trader Joe’s has NEW GLUTEN FREE PIZZA DOUGH at more Trader Joe’s stores now! And I’m sharing everything you need to know (and look forward to tasting) about this gluten free pizza dough, as well as how you can make gluten free donuts in the air fryer using any refrigerated gluten free pizza dough.

The pizza dough is gluten free, soy free, oat free and egg free but does contain dairy. You can find all the ingredients and nutritional info on Trader Joe’s website here and in the back panel photo below.

This gluten free pizza dough can be found in the refrigerated section at most Trader Joe’s now. It costs $3.99 for a 16-ounce pack, which is about half the price of most refrigerated gluten free pizza doughs at other stores.

I had already eaten pizza several times that week, so I decided to use the gluten free pizza dough to make easy air fryer donuts and they turned out INCREDIBLE! The dough is easy to work with, soft and fluffy, and has no funky aftertaste.

To make these Air Fryer Chocolate-Filled Donut Holes, first let your pizza dough sit out at room temp for 30 minutes. Then take half the dough (for 4 donuts, or use all the pizza dough for 8 donuts) and split it into four sections. Roll them into a thin layer and add a dollop of gluten free chocolate spread to each. Roll into balls and preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees. Spray each chocolate-filled dough ball with oil and roll in cinnamon sugar. Then air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through and fluffy.

I served the donut holes with a chocolate sauce made from around 1/4 cup of the chocolate spread mixed with 1/4 cup yogurt and milk to the desired thickness. Best eaten fresh but can also be reheated later on! And you can also adapt this recipe to use any kind of filling — sweet or savory — if chocolate-filled donuts aren’t your thing.
