A Celiac’s Perfect Day of Eating Gluten Free in Denver

*This post includes a gifted meal and affiliate links. All opinions are still my own*

If you’re wondering where you can eat delicious gluten free pizza, biscuits, desserts and more at Denver, Colorado I’m here to help! Because I’m sharing what a perfect day of eating gluten free at Denver looks like, based on one of my recent trips to the city! Keep reading to learn about two of my favorite 100% gluten free bakeries/bistros and a new spot for amazing gluten free pizza in Denver.

Rivers And Roads Coffee

Rivers And Roads Coffee is a 100% gluten free coffee shop with several locations at Denver. We’ve been to multiple and loved them all equally. All of their coffee and food is gluten free, and they have other allergens noted on the menu. I really enjoy their seasonal Mint Mocha coffee with coconut milk and my bf loves anything with their blueberry or lavendar syrups.

Their Cheddar Biscuits (which can also be made into breakfast sandwiches) are AMAZING — fluffy, soft, and packed with cheddar flavor. Even the gluten-eating bf raves about them, and we always leave with a couple. They also have a variety of different baked goods that are always changing. Their cookie bars and their nutella banana bread are my personal faves.

Dough Counter Pizza

Dough Counter Pizza is a new pizza restaurant in Denver that invited my boyfriend and I for a lunch date several months ago. They have dedicated pizza pans for their gluten free pizzas, prep it in a separate area than any of the gluten pizza, and use Italy-imported gluten-removed wheat starch for their pizza, which makes it MUCH fluffier and more gluten-like in texture. Gluten-removed wheat starch is safe for those with celiac but not safe for wheat allergies. And if you don’t live near Denver but want to try this kind of pizza four for yourself, this is the brand of gluten-removed wheat starch that they use (Amazon affiliate link).

Besides having insanely fluffy pizza, Dough Counter Pizza also has a dedicated fryer / only fries gluten free options, which includes gluten free fries and chicken strips. The fries were good, but the chicken strips were the star of our meal. Juicy, not greasy and the best gluten free fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. The breading is made from rice flour and they marinate the chicken overnight to get it extra tender. They also have salads, but we haven’t tried those yet.

Gina’s Kitchen

Gina’s Kitchen is a 100% gluten free, vegan & peanut free bakery and cafe. They do offer savory food like sandwiches, salads, loaded fries, chili, soup, etc as well we went with all desserts this time around. I tried their chocolate-dipped Vanilla Confetti cake; a brownie stuffed with cream choose and covered in chocolate; and an apple-spice cake covered in white chocolate. All were good, but the cream cheese brownie was definitely my favorite!
